Liz Kirk
Sunshine and On-site Garden Senior Coordinator

Liz worked for many years in educational publishing and as a college educator in holistic health. Following her passion as a life-long gardener and seeing first-hand the powerful therapeutic benefits of working with the soil, she trained in horticultural therapy with a particular interest in growing organic vegetables and herbs.

In her role as Sunshine and On-site Garden Senior Coordinator, one of the most gratifying aspects of Liz’s job is to work with a wonderful group of clients from the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH, as well as volunteers in the FoodShare community garden. As the gardens flourish with their diverse range of heirloom vegetables and native plants, so do the volunteers. As one participant so aptly expressed it “I love gardening – it’s the best therapy I could ever have!”
