Toni PanzutoTour & Volunteer Facilitator
Toni grew up in Italy and came to Canada in 1969 where she worked as waitress, housekeeper, and office clerk before completing the Social Service Worker program at Humber College in 1991. She first became involved with FoodShare as a volunteer in the Good Food Box Program, Hunger Hotline, and Front Desk while a member of Low Income Families Together.
In 2007, Toni joined FoodShare as a part-time staff receptionist, before leading the Baby Food Basics program, and in 2010 she became the Baby and Toddler Nutrition and Volunteer Coordinator. Toni believes in the importance of starting healthy eating in children as young as possible, and through experience, recognizes the many barriers low-income families face in making healthy food a reality. FoodShare is Toni’s second family, and she is excited to see the Baby and Toddler Nutrition program reach more people across Toronto.
