We should all have food

It’s almost the holidays. For many, that means meals shared with those dear to us. Meals that are full of bountiful veggies and fruit. Meals that nourish and heal.

But that isn’t the case for the one in eight households experiencing food insecurity. Icy sidewalks, delayed transit lines and snow become additional barriers to accessing food that is already often too expensive or too far away.

Your support helps neighbourhoods that are strong and unique, but that also share a common need: access to fresh, low-cost, good food. Our Good Food Markets bring produce right to where people live in over 50 Toronto communities, produce that’s affordable and produce that people want to cook and eat. In Toronto, there’s no shortage of neighbourhoods that need a Good Food Market.

Will you help support markets this winter and year round?

Your donation, no matter what amount you choose to give, will sustain and improve the markets, and benefit folks who struggle to access food.

And it’s not just about food. Good Food Markets turn empty building lobbies into bustling community spaces where folks connect and bond. They become places where recipes are shared and social isolation is reduced.

Support from folks like you helps us reach over 250,000 people with food access and education programs every year. We thank you for that.

Wishing you all the best this holiday season!

P.S. Recipe for Change returns for its 10th anniversary, showcasing 30+ of Toronto’s most impressive female chefs. We’d love to see you there. Get your tickets.
