Request for Proposals

FoodShare is exploring a number of new initiatives for which we require comprehensive feasibility studies that will help us determine the need, potential, and requirements to make informed decisions to grow the following social enterprise activities:

Feasibility Study: Fee for Service Workshops & Training

FoodShare is exploring the option of formalizing and expanding our corporate and large group training + workshops social enterprise. This initiative would generate revenue for our Community Food Programs, which include free and subsidized food justice and food literacy education for schools and community groups.

Feasibility Study: Garden Installation

FoodShare is exploring the option of formalizing and expanding our garden installation services as a social enterprise activity that would generate revenue for our Community Food Growing projects. Over the years, our team has installed raised bed gardens in schools, community spaces, and private residences across the city. Sales have often been through word of mouth, and installations happen if our staff team has the time within their existing workload.

Feasibility Study: Non-profit Training & Recruitment

FoodShare is exploring the option of developing a Training and Recruitment service for non-profit organizations that aligns with our goals around equity and food justice. This social enterprise initiative would generate revenue for our programs while providing a valuable service for other organizations in our sector. FoodShare is often asked via word of mouth to support other agencies with recruitment and retention of candidates from equity deserving groups, as well as support with sharing progressive HR policies and procedures.
