Christine Walker has always had a passion for food and hospitality; first in front of house and then as a Chef. After almost 20 years in the industry, Christine joined George Brown College as a full-time chef faculty member in the Chef School. In 2013 Christine became the Academic Chair for all culinary programs and was recently promoted to the Director of Hospitality and Culinary programs at the college. Committed to her field, Christine received her Certified Chef De Cuisine and Red Seal certifications and in 2015, dedicated to furthering academic and civic engagement in support of equitable and sustainable food systems, earned an MBA in Sustainable Commerce. Currently Christine is leading the Sustainability Blueprint at the Chef School, and is implementing a sustainability specific course dedicated to educating the chefs of the future as they play a critical role in the ability to provide healthy food for all.
