Pronouns: they/she
Fateha identifies as a Bangladeshi queer femme settler – ally who has been working at the intersections of food security and community development within Scarborough and Toronto.
Fateha works as Good Food Markets Facilitator at FoodShare, centring food security alongside BIPOC communities across the city. Their background in community based project management, event coordination, qualitative research, stakeholder logistics brings an equity-based approach to the work they do around food, with a focus on engaging with food justice and sovereignty movements through solidarity based relationships that prioritize the needs of various communities experiencing marginalization.
A few other things that they are excited about include the possibilities of water soluble pastels, accessible gardening, and learning how to cook up some Bengali style curries.
Outside of that, you can usually find them drinking lots of masala chai, stretching, and re-decorating their apartment every couple of months.
