Mireya is a seasoned community worker with nearly 9 years of experience working on food advocacy, and developing community programs with focus on food initiatives such as Good Food Markets, Community Kitchens, Community Gardens,  and  Breakfast & Snacks programs.

She is skilled in problem solving complex matters and de-escalating conflicts. Having worked with people from all walks of life, and underserved communities, Mireya understands many communities' needs.  She is passionate about building, improving Good Food Markets, and strengthening relationships between communities and the organizations that serve them.

Prior to joining FoodShare, Mireya held key roles advocating for food security in colleges, and food banks.

Mireya holds a bachelor's degree in International Business, she also has life coaching and community worker training!
