Local Food Gifts
More and more businesses and corporations are buying local and buying social for their meetings and events or for the holidays. By purchasing your local food gifts from FoodShare, you are contributing to your Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals by supporting our food justice work as well as local diverse suppliers.
We work with local Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) specialty food entrepreneurs and social purpose organizations to amplify and distribute their beautiful products for your meeting or event.

Fresh Produce
For over 15 years, FoodShare has been supplying hundreds of organizations in Toronto with fresh Grade A produce by the case at wholesale prices.
Schools, agencies, businesses, coops, specialty grocers and food service customers choose us to support the hope for a different, more just food system. They also choose us for culturally diverse produce, reliable service, small minimum orders, convenient online ordering, and our commitment to quality for our customers and equity for our team.

Produce Boxes
Our fresh produce boxes offer a variety of fresh Grade A produce designed for household use. Agencies, community groups, employers, cooperatives and bulk buying groups order fresh produce boxes in bulk from us so their members can enjoy convenient, pre-packed fresh fruit and veggie boxes.

Since 1994, our fresh produce social enterprise has supported FoodShare in delivering community food programs across Toronto. Unrestricted revenue earned through our social enterprise funds activities that would not otherwise be priorities from our funders’ perspectives.
By purchasing from FoodShare, you’re joining us in our vision: a Toronto where everyone can feed themselves, their loved ones, and their communities with dignity and joy.
Some other important notes about our social enterprise:
~ We source from local farmers in season, including Black, Indigenous, People of Colour growers, and from the Ontario Food Terminal year round.
~ We identify unique food gifts and products from local makers to expand their markets.
~ We are proud to be a living wage employer, registered with the Ontario Living Wage Network.
~ We are registered with Buy Social Canada, as a certified social enterprise.
~ The food waste from our social enterprise feeds into FoodShare’s compost program, which is one of Toronto’s largest nonprofit compost programs.
